With JB Hi-Fi Extra Care, you'll have peace of mind and certainty that we’ll get you back up and running again if your product is faulty, so you can get back to doing the things you enjoy!
Need to make a claim? If You are claiming under an Extra Care Agreement, you can lodge your claim by calling Our Administrator, on 0800 385 303 Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm, who will assist you with your claim. Claims must be made prior to the expiration of your Extra Care Agreement.
If however your device is outside the period of coverage of your JB Hi-Fi Extra Care plan, information about your rights in relation to faulty products is available in our Refunds & Warranties guide.
First up, here’s what you should know about your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Even if you don’t purchase JB Hi-Fi Extra Care, you may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) (even after the manufacturer’s warranty and JB Hi-Fi Minimum Voluntary Warranty period have expired). However, the exact duration of CGA rights is uncertain and do not provide the certainty that JB Hi-Fi Extra Care provides. Extra Care Replacement Cover gives you certainty that you will receive a one-off replacement if your product becomes faulty during the period of cover.
Period of cover: Period commencing 12 months after delivery/collection, and ending 3 years after delivery/collection or upon first replacement with a new replacement product or payment (including by the issue of a store credit or JB Hi-Fi Gift Card).
One-off replacement with an equivalent product (or if a suitable equivalent product is not available, you will receive a JB Hi-Fi Gift Card or store credit) up to the value of your purchase price.
Cover for failures caused by reasonable wear and tear from normal and intended use of your product.
Cover while you’re overseas for portable devices, provided you obtain pre-approval for any repairs or replacements.
Technical product support From the original date of purchase/delivery. Contact us for free technical product support Monday to Friday 12pm to 7pm.
Transferability If you sell or giveaway Your Product, you can transfer your Plan to the new owner by notifying our Administrator within 7 days.
Repair cover
Products over $1,000
Extra Care Repair Cover gives you certainty that your product will be repaired if it becomes faulty during the period of cover.
Period of cover: Period commencing on the later of the expiry of the manufacturer’s warranty and expiry of the JB Hi-Fi Minimum Voluntary Warranty Period and ending on the date which is 5 years after the date of purchase/delivery or upon first replacement with a new replacement product or payment (including by the issue of a store credit or JB Hi-Fi gift card).
Repair period guarantee: if your product is not repaired within 30 days of receipt or assessment by our repair agent, we'll replace it with an equivalent replacement product (or if none available, a JB Hi-Fi Gift Card or store credit) up to the value of your purchase price.
If your product needs more than three separate and distinct repairs under your JB Hi-Fi Extra Care plan, we’ll replace it with an equivalent product (or if none available, a JB Hi-Fi Gift Card or store credit) up to the value of your purchase price.

Freight/Delivery: We’ll arrange collection and delivery at our expense if you’re further than 25km away from our approved repairer or Your Product weighs more than 7kg

15 day cooling off
If you change your mind you can cancel within 15 days after delivery / collection of your product and get a full refund.
Things to know
