TV’s look great on the wall, but there’s a lot to consider when wall mounting. Will your wall hold the weight? Where are the studs and services located behind the wall? Where is the ideal viewing position and what about those messy cables? We can sort it all for you safely and efficiently!
What's included
- Installation of a TV wall bracket to the wall
- Unbox and mount TV
- Connect to power and Wi-Fi
- Tune Free to Air channels
- Setup TV operating system and inbuilt Google TV
- Connect up to 3 existing streaming services
- Re-connect up to 5 ‘plug & play’ components (e.g. Blu-ray player or console)
- Basic tutorial on using your new TV (up to 15 mins)

TV delivery, removal and recycling of old TV, cable hiding behind the wall or in surface conduit, setup of other new audio or media components, supply of cables and wall bracket, advanced product tutorial beyond 15 minutes.
Additional fees apply for:
- Installation heights above 1.5m for additional installers and work required to install safely
- If additional travel is required for installation locations beyond 25km from the nearest JB Hi-Fi store or stock pickup location
- Any additional parts, parking charges or extra labour that may be needed which your technician will discuss with you on the day.
Cable hiding

Cable hiding includes hiding of power, antenna and HDMI cables entering the wall behind the TV, running straight down, then exiting the wall to access nearby points and connected components.
Available options
- Behind wall method: Hiding the cables behind the wall with brush plates or wall plugs for the entry and exit points supplied. For plaster walls with suitable cavity.
- On wall method: Hiding the cables in conduit on top of the wall with surface conduit supplied. For brick or plaster walls with no suitable cavity.
Just a heads up that horizontal noggins in your plaster wall may prevent the behind wall method. Brick walls are not usually suitable for the behind the wall method, however our installers will assess this on the day. Surface conduit will be provided if there is no cavity, which can be painted over for a more seamless finish.
What’s not included: Supply of cables, moving of power or antenna point. Additional work required for complex cable hiding scenarios. Cable hiding behind brick walls if determined to be unfeasible on the day.
JB tip: Many TVs don’t come with antenna cables and a minimum length of 3m is recommended for cable hiding. We recommend purchasing cables in-store prior to your appointment as only a limited range of additional cables may be available for purchase from your technician on the day. The power point position and TV power cable length may mean an extension cable is required. Your technician will assess this on the day.
Soundbar setup

We can unbox and setup you new soundbar on your cabinet or wall mount it with your TV and get it connected to your new TV and Wi-Fi, depending on your model, so your new viewing experience is sounding at its best. Plus, you'll get a basic tutorial on using your new soundbar (up to 15 mins) and we'll dispose of the packaging.
What's not included: Product delivery, removal and recycling of old product, supply of cables, setup of a new streaming service account, advanced product tutorial beyond 15 minutes.
Media service setup

We can setup and connect a media streaming device (e.g. Apple TV, Chromecast, Fetch Box, Fire Stick, Blu-Ray, PVR) to your new TV and Wi-Fi or Ethernet. This includes connecting to 1 existing streaming service app, setup Voice Assistant feature and a basic tutorial on using your new media streaming device and mobile app (up to 15 mins). Plus we’ll dispose of any packaging.
What’s not included: Product delivery, removal and recycling of old product, supply of cables, setup of a new streaming service account (this is a paid ad-on service if you need it on the day), advanced product tutorial beyond 15 minutes.

Universal remote setup

We can setup your new universal remote control and program it for up to 5 devices and help you create an account with any applicable mobile app and give you a basic tutorial on using your new universal remote control and mobile app (up to 15 mins). Plus, we’ll dispose of any packaging.
